Structural design of a 70,000 sq ft., two story retail space. The roof structure was designed in several locations to support the weight of out door seating area adjacent to the second floor for future restaurant use.

The Stop & Shop Supermarket chain has over 60 stores in NJ. Recognized by the EPA for superior energy management, Stop & Shop wished to install new roof top mechanical units at existing and new store locations. KSI provided existing conditions reports and worked integrally with the architect to develop plans for interior structural modifications, renovations and expansion while maintaining store operation.

Ashley Furniture

Ashley Furniture planned the renovation of an existing 7,000 sq ft., building into a new furniture showroom. KSI worked closely with the Architect documenting the existing roof framing and load path and provided practical solutions to the numerous structural issues of the renovation.

The 18,000 sq ft., retail center was evaluated by our design engineers and based on our analysis, KSI was able to provide an economical and easily installed structural repair with the requirement of maintaining store hours of operation during this procedure.

Structural design of a 35,000 sq ft., retail space inclusive of a 7,500 sq ft., mezzanine. The roof structure was designed in several locations to support the weight of hung motorcycles as display pieces. The split face masonry perimeter wall was utilized as a both a bearing wall and as shear walls for the building.

Structural design of a two story, 15,000 sq ft., retail space. The structure façade consisted of gage metal stud backup system with EIFS, metal panels and curtain wall system.
